1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, retained, and disclosed when an authorized user communicates with Gist by SMS or MMS, receives task summaries, or uses related CRM functions.
2. Information collected
Gist may process:
- The authorized user's mobile number
- SMS and MMS message content, including screenshots or other submitted images
- Message metadata, such as dates, delivery information, and message identifiers
- CRM information, including contact names, companies, roles, notes, activities, tasks, due dates, and statuses
- Technical and security information needed to authenticate requests, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot the service
3. How information is used
Information is used only as reasonably necessary to:
- Respond to authorized CRM questions and commands
- Create, retrieve, summarize, or update CRM records
- Interpret screenshots and dictated or typed notes
- Send weekday task summaries when qualifying tasks exist and the service is not paused
- Maintain security, prevent duplicate or unauthorized requests, diagnose errors, and improve reliability
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
4. Mobile information and consent
Mobile information, including mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data, and messaging consent, will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile information may be provided to service providers solely as necessary to operate the messaging and CRM service, deliver messages, process authorized requests, provide infrastructure, or maintain security. Those providers are not authorized to use mobile information for their own marketing.
5. Service providers
Gist relies on service providers for messaging delivery, cloud hosting, spreadsheet and CRM storage, automation, and AI-assisted analysis. Message content and submitted images may be transmitted to those providers when necessary to perform a requested function.
6. Message frequency and charges
Message frequency varies based on use. Gist responds to user-initiated messages and may send up to one weekday morning task summary when qualifying tasks exist. Proactive summaries can be paused. Message and data rates may apply.
7. Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP to unsubscribe from SMS or MMS messages. Reply START to resume after opting out. Reply HELP for assistance. Support may also be requested by texting HELP to (984) 254-5823.
8. Data retention
CRM records and activity history may be retained for as long as needed to provide the service, preserve business records, maintain security, resolve disputes, or satisfy legal obligations. Message providers may retain communications and metadata according to their own policies. Information may be deleted or corrected through an authorized CRM command or administrative request, subject to operational and legal retention requirements.
9. Security
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to restrict access, validate authorized requests, and protect stored information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
10. No sale or advertising use
Personal information is not sold. Gist does not use message content, mobile information, or CRM data to deliver third-party advertising or build marketing audiences.
11. Children's privacy
Gist is intended for authorized business use and is not directed to children under 13. The service does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the service changes. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
